Are there risks involved?
You will be soft modding your Wii console and as with any mods there is the risk that this mod could break your Wii. It isn't a high chance but there is always a chance. If you're worried this might happen to your console the best advice is to look online for a refurbished console to use instead. If you already own one you can get it way cheaper if you only get the console without added controller and various cords. Modding voids console warranties.

3. Unzip all three into the "apps" folder on your SD card

Step Six: Arranging the files on your SD card
The files and folders must be in the correct places on your SD card or the Patch won't load properly.
1. Open your SD card. The root of your SD card should contain the files left from unzipping the Homebrew Channel, an "apps" folder, and a "Riivolution" folder from installing Riivolution on your wii (it may be listed in your apps instead, simply move it to your root)
2. Move the homebrew files from your root into your "apps" folder
3. Go into the "apps" folder and open the folder titled "Patch Contents (SD root)". Move the "Zero4" folder inside to your root.
4. Go back into your "apps" folder and open the "Patch42" folder. Move the file "boot.dol" and the folders "Private" and "riivolution" to your root. When your computer asks if you want to merge the riivolution folders click yes.
Your root should now show the following: "apps" folder, "riivolution" folder, "Zero4" folder, "Private" folder, and the file "boot.dol".
Anything else should be located inside the "apps" folder.

Step Seven: Running the Patch
1. Insert your SD card and the game cd into your Wii
2. Run Riivolution
3. If everything was done correctly Riivolution should load up Zero4 and have three options available. Make sure all three options are set to enabled then click launch.
You'll know you're home free if the game boots up showing the copy right information for the Patch creators.
Note: If you get stuck at the start by a popup of Japanese text...this just means you forgot to plug in your nunchuck before starting, don't panic. Plug it in and it should go away.
